This project consisted of doing research on a famous couple (Leonard and Penny) and designing the front and back cover of a 12-inch vinyl record sleeve. The focus is on understanding how design communicates meaning, identity, and relationships. The goal was to communicate an idea to an audience through design. I explored how imagery, typography,
composition, and messaging can shift expectations and influence how a viewer understands a subject.

Final Project

The front cover includes small icons of an atom and glasses to represent Leonard’s scientific mind and identity, highlighting what he is most recognized form as a near and a scientist. To symbolize Penny, I added an acting icon to reflect her known dream career, along with a wine bottle in bright, warms colors to represent her outgoing personality. The floating dust particles create a space-like atmosphere, tying back to the cosmic theme of “The Big Bang Theory”. The contrast in colors and symbols visually represent how opposite personalities like Leonard and Penny can still connect.
The back cover continues the space theme with a vibrant galaxy showing energy and connection. Leonard and Penny are presented here to visually show their unique relationship, two completely different individuals. The layout of the back cover follows a clear and organized structure including color and legible typography, allowing content to fit into the cosmic background
